Candlelight Christmas Dinner Delightful!

A lovely evening was had by all who attended our Candlelight Christmas dinner on Thursday evening. The room was decorated beautifully and the buffet dinner was scrumptuous! Our praise and worship team delighted us with their angelic voices singing various Christmas hymns while the Hula team gracefully danced- such a wonderful and heartwarming evening! Pastor and renound speaker Lenora Howze flew in from Maryland to share with us an empowering and inspiring message of putting the “Christ” back in Christmas, sometimes even we as Christian women need to remember as we get caught up in the bustle of the season. Lenora recalled the most precious Christmas story from John 3:16.. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…”. God’s most perfect gift is the reason we are celebrating this season- His birth, His life and His death. Thank you Lenora for sharing your beautiful light with us and for “lighting the fire” again in us all. Hope to see you all next week for our last meeting of the semester and “Christmas Delights”…

Finding strength in HIM

As we are in the midst of Advent and preparation of Christmas,we are humbly reminded of some of the gifts that God has given us: strength, patience and love. These were so evident as a fellow sister in Christ, Robin Gray, shared her testimony of strength. After passing her baby girl into the arms of Jesus, Robin shared her difficulties and what has comforted her since that day. What a wonderful reminder of how our heavenly Father is ready to comfort us in times of need. Thank you Robin for sharing little Tessa with us, her legacy of beauty and strength will live forever.

Hope you all were able to make the special program last wednesday titled “Heart of Gratitude”. Once again, the inviting and warm atmosphere pampered us all. But I don’t think it was the candles that warmed our hearts, it was all the beautiful sisters coming together in HIS name to share their gracious spirit and love. The Holy Spirit was definitely speaking through Pam Mays as she reminded us all of how much we have to be thankful for in our wonderful country. She ended with a wonderful question that has been on my mind ever since, “do you have an attitude of gratitude”? See you on December 2 for 1st wednesday, have a blessed Thanksgiving ladies!!

Letting God’s light shine bright

Warmth surrounded the ladies last wednesday as the Fall program began! Becky Schnabel gave a compelling and heartwarming devotion about letting the light of Christ shine bright in a world that can sometimes seem so dark. The praise and worship ladies lifted their beautiful voices with “Father I Adore You” while the amazing ladies who hula danced in worship to “Come As You Are”. The four and five year olds gave a sweet rendition of “This Little Light of Mine”, whilst everyone in the audience held candles- absolutely wonderful! Love was felt all around with scrumptuous food, beautiful dancing and music and good conversation with the ladies. We are so blessed to come together as sisters in Christ and feel Gods presence! God blessed us big time and we got miraculous upgraded from a two-bedroom suite to a brand new four-bedroom Villa. Thank you Lord! Here’s a picture on our gorgeous Villa lanai.

All ten of us got on a golf cart for a ride to Lei, Lei restaurant for dinner.

We had bagel and lox (modern day version of what Jesus served the disciples in John 21) as well as fruit, yogurt, granola, etc. (with American portions).

Remembering we are all the Apple of HIS eye

Hello Ladies! Hopefully you all were able to make it for the special program titled “Apple of HIS Eye” today. The hospitality ladies did an amazing job again filling our tummies with apple-themed treats (chicken apple sausage, apple cider, apple muffins just to name a few) and beautifully decorating the MPR with sweet smelling candles to create a cozy, pampering atmosphere. The Hula No Akua Ladies danced beautifully to “I Can Only Imagine” – what a wonderful way to praise God this morning! Stacy Cliver gave a compelling devotion; reminding us all of the wonderful gifts God has given us and how abundant His love is for us. All we have to do is reach out our hands with an open heart and accept His love, He is waiting! See you all next Wednesday for ”What is Love?”.

Phenomenal Kick-off!

Thank you to all the ladies who came to the chapel yesterday for our first meeting of the 2009-2010 year! Hopefully your spiritual cup was overflowing! What a great day.. from the wonderful guest speaker Suzie and the fabulous food to the great clown that entertained the kids, kick-off was a success! Most importantly, everybody has found the study that God has prepared for them! Now that your spiritual cup has been filled, be ready to sit with Jesus and get down to business.. He’s waiting for you!!! So excited to get started next week and see all you wonderful beautiful ladies again!!
